She-Wolves: England's Early Queens

Watch Sidney History Fellow Helen Castor's new series on BBC Four.

She-Wolves: England's Early Queens will be broadcast on BBC Four on the 7th, 14th and 21st of March on BBC Four at 9pm.  Adapted from Dr Castor's 2010 book of the same name, the series profiles the women and the Crown before the Tudors.  The first programme examines the lives of Matilda, daughter of Henry I, and her daughter-in-law Eleanor of Aquitaine, wife of Henry II.
