Geography taster day

14th July event for potential undergraduate applicants

Sidney Sussex will hold a taster day for Year 12 students considering applying to read Geography at university on Thursday 14th July.

The day will include research talks from Director of Studies in Geography Dr David Beckingham, whose work examines the regulation of alcohol and associated moral problems in Victorian Britain, and Dr Eszter Kovàcs, a specialist in environmental and agricultural policy and College Research Associate at Sidney Sussex.

The programme, scheduled between 10am and 3.30pm, will also include time for a tour of the College and a question and answer session on Cambridge admissions.  There will be no charge and lunch will also be provided.  Attendees will be expected to arrange their own transport.
