Sidney hosts Apple's Sir Jonathan Ive

As part of the University of Cambridge's recent Honorary Degree ceremony, Sidney Sussex was delighted to host Sir Jonathan Ive. Sir Jonathan, Chief Design Officer at Apple and responsible for such groundbreaking products such as the MacBook, iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch, was awarded a doctorate in science by the University in recognition of his 'impact on the world of computing and in making technology approachable through design'.

Sir Jonathan was welcomed to the College by Master Professor Richard Penty and Vice-Master Professor Rosamond McKitterick (pictured), and also met several Sidney students who have strong design elements in their degrees.
