Sidney chefs celebrate success

Medals at Hotelympia

Sidney chefs are celebrating after winning a clutch of medals at the recent International Salon Culinaire at Hotelympia.  The comeptition, held at London's Excel, is the largest and most prestigious of its kind in the UK.

Head Chef Steven Mather carried away a gold for his sugar showpiece, while there were also bronze awards for Steve Borbas in the decorated cupcakes category and Robert Blackwell in the junior petit fours class.  Jonny Bridgeman and Matt Reineman also took away bronze awards in the live Schwartz Flavour Challenge, judged by celebrity chef Brian Turner CBE.
