Comb-Binding

The Library offers comb-binding for assignments and dissertations. Covers are clear plastic, blue leathergrain card or black leathergrain card, and spine sizes are up to 225 sheets A4 paper. All spine combs are black. If you particularly need other colours, please let library staff know well in advance. Cost is £1.00 per binding, for each 95 pages or part thereof (using 2 covers and 1 spine). To get your work bound, simply bring it to the Library Office during staffed hours and we'll do it as soon as we can. Stationery

The Library provides a photocopier (cards on sale in the Porter's Lodge), a guillotine and various other pieces of stationery equipment such as hole-punches and staplers, all near the entrance area on the ground floor. Please ask at the Library Office if you require anything else.

Microfiche reader

This islocated on the ground floor of the Library, just beyond the Office. Engineering and Chemical Engineering cribs (on microfiche) are available for use in the library.

Medical Resources

The library has a skeleton (in a cupboard): ask the Librarian for the keys. We can lend you a microscope, anatomical models (including a model brain) and molecular model kits.

Careers guidance literature

This is kept in folders in the Reference section. However, the main source of careers information is the University Careers Service on Mill Lane.
