Library Contents & Layout

The central role of the Library is to provide core materials for Part I of Tripos. We may consider buying books for Part II and other courses, if they are of a broad enough interest and improve the Library's collections (see the Library's Collection Development Policy Word.doc for further details). Members of College can recommend the purchase of an item on-line (you will need your Raven password), or alternatively e-mail librarian@sid.cam.ac.uk. Book orders typically take two to four weeks to arrive, although if you need a book urgently, please let the Librarian know, as it may be possible to get items more quickly.

The Library also maintains collections of DVDs and classical CDs, as well as a selection of periodical titles.

Online resources are provided centrally via the University Library which subscribes to numerous databases and other resources, as well as over 31,000 on-line journals. In addition, the college libraries have worked together to build a growing collection of e-books.
