Exam Practice, Quiet Study and Group Revision

Several additional rooms have been reserved in College throughout the Easter Term, to increase the availability of spaces suitable for different forms of study.

EXAMINATION PRACTICE: the Mong Hall will be available on most days of Easter Full Term from 8am to 10pm  for practice under exam conditions: the room will be set up in examination-hall style and may at times be invigilated by one of the Tutors.  Please help others make the best use of this  facility by maintaining silence throughout; if you are only practising part of a paper, and therefore making use of this facility for a relatively short period of time, take extra care to arrive and leave quietly, thus minimising disruption to others.

QUIET INDIVIDUAL STUDY: the Knox Shaw Room has also been reserved from 8am to 10pm daily throughout term to provide additional individual study desks, thus relieving pressure on the College Library.

GROUP REVISION: and for the first time, as a result of SSCSU's initiative, the JCR/College Bar will be open through the day as a place for group discussion, short breaks etc.

Some events, which could not be re-located elsewhere, will still  be held in these reserved location: on such occasions, it will be necessary to clear the venue.  You can check  the availability of each room at: https://www.sid.cam.ac.uk/sidnet/staff/raven-auth/notices/; the availability of each room through term will also be advertised by notices pinned to the door of each room and in other locations across College.

This page will also be updated as term progresses to include other initiatives taking place this term such as SSCSU's “Sit-Back Saturdays”, the Librarian’s squash and biscuits etc
