Accommodation
The College has a range of rooms available to book for conference delegates, wedding guests and bed and breakfast guests during the University vacations. Guests can wander around the College's beautiful gardens and the central location of Sidney Sussex makes it an ideal base from which to explore Cambridge. The following types of accommodation are available:
- Standard Single
- Ensuite Single
- Ensuite Twin (limited availability)
All rooms come with tea and coffee-making facilities, soap and towels, and are serviced daily.
Internet
All ensuite rooms are equipped with wireless internet access via the College's high-speed local area network. Other rooms have wired internet access available upon request. In addition, there is internet access across all meeting rooms.
Accessibility
Due to the nature of our sixteenth-century buildings, we are always taking steps to improve accessibility around the College grounds. Our modern accommodation however has lift access; please feel free to contact the Conference and Events Manager, Mrs Marianne Oyler (conference@sid.cam.ac.uk), for more information.
Leisure Time
In addition to providing excellent meeting rooms and accommodation, the College also offers other facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Our new gym in Sussex House can be used by guests staying a minimum of four nights, subject to conditions, and we have a single squash court in the grounds, available free of charge. You are welcome to explore the Fellows Garden and Cloister Court and enjoy the peace and quiet of the magnificent surroundings. Alternatively, we have two television rooms available for use in Chapel Court and Cromwell Court. College also has launderette facilities in Blundell, Cromwell and Garden Courts operated on a pay-as-you-go system.
