The Sidney Sussex Boat Club Association

Originally set up in the early 1990s to support Sidney rowing and allow rowing alumni to get together, the BCA has recently emerged from a quiet period with a number of successful events.  The SSBCA is open to all members of college who ever rowed, coxed, or just supported Sidney rowing, and there is no membership fee. To join, contact the Membership and Development Office and we will add you to our contact list.

Younger Generation

If you are a recent graduate, you are welcome to use your membership of the Society to keep in contact with friends you have made in your time at Sidney as well as meet new friends who share a Sidney past.

If you are organising such a get-together, feel free to use the Sidney Facebook page (www.facebook.com/sidneysussex) or the alumni pages on the Sidney website (www.sid.cam.ac.uk/alumni/events/) to circulate details to those who you want to attend and/or to invite any others with a link to Sidney.

Coordination of wider Sidney reunions is made easier by Year Representatives.  If you would like to volunteer to be a Year Representative, please contact the Membership & Events Officer, Ms Wendy Hedley (alumni@sid.cam.ac.uk)

CALL FOR HELP - some Sidney alumni are currently investigating the possibility of organising occasional get-togethers in London centred on invigorating, brief and contemporary talks by Sidney alumni who are experts in their field.  These would be held in the evening in central London with ample opportunity for socialising before and afterwards.  If you think these events would be a good idea, or would like to help with the organisation of them, please email Wendy Hedley and she can put you in touch with the right people.
