The Sidney Sussex Society exists to promote the College among Alumni, all of whom are automatically members. To that end, it organises regular events to enable members to meet up, including a Christmas drinks Reception in London and a Spring Event based around the College Choir. The Society also arranges events for Alumni at venues around the UK, usually with a Sidney connection, for example a visit to Bletchley Park in 2013.
The Society is run by a committee, which is made up from both Alumni and College Fellows in accordance with its terms of reference. To find out more about the Sidney Sussex Society, please contact: Membership & Events Officer, Mrs Jacqueline Boyle(alumni[at]sid.cam.ac.uk, Tel. +44 1223 338881).
The Thornely Society exists to honour the memory of John Thornely by supporting many aspects of Law at Sidney, including academic events and also social events. This provides an opportunity for Sidney alumni who read Law at Cambridge or have since qualified as lawyers to maintain and develop their links with each other and the College.
A Society for Sidney members which provides a network for medical and veterinary alumni to connect with each other, and also with current students.
