Alumni and Friends' Benefits

Sidney is still your College. We welcome you back and want you to be engaged and active in everything that we are doing. The College is still very much open to you and there are many ways that you can remain involved in College life.

You are also free to join and participate in one of the many Societies that are connected to Sidney in the UK and Internationally. Societies allow you to engage with other alumni who share your interests or location in events and activities. For more information please click here.

If you would like further information on this or any of the benefits below then please contact the Development and Membership Office at or call us at 01223 338881.

We would love to see you at one of our events. We have a broad range of opportunities throughout the year to meet other alumni. From Reunion Weekends for your particular matriculation years, Christmas Parties based in London, to our very popular annual visit to Bletchley Park.

The Development and Membership Office produces various publications throughout the year for all who would like to receive them. If you have any interesting news to share, or an article that you would like included in Pheon Magazine (biannual) or the college Annual then please let us know.

Come back and dine in College at High Table for free. This is an excellent way to visit Sidney and to dine with other Fellows and Students during Full Term. Alumni are entitled to dine at High Table three times a year during Full Term in each academic year.

As well as having all of the benefits of the College you are also eligible for a range of benefits from the University of Cambridge. This includes Cam Cards as well as access to a huge range of online scholarship free of charge.

Alumni also have access to the excellent Richard Powell Library and Muniment Room where there are a number of fascinating special collections.

Membership of Sidney Sussex College has its privileges. As a member you can host your own events in college, get married in the beautiful chapel or stay with us on your next visit to Cambridge.
