Bill joined Sidney as Development Director in October 2010, having spent nine years in development at the London School of Economics and being part of the team that successfully raised £100m for the Campaign for LSE.  Prior to this he worked on the alumni relations programme, implementing LSE's Alumni Mentoring Network and as Head of Alumni Relations established the LSE Alumni Association.

Before working in Higher Education fundraising, Bill was a Director of the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) and worked for GlaxoWellcome and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).  He has a degree in Law and a postgraduate degree in Development Studies, both from UEA.

Bill has overall responsibility for Sidney’s development programme, long term fundraising strategy and all aspects of Sidney’s alumni relations and development.

Wendy Hedley

Wendy has over 20 years experience at Sidney and is the first point of contact for many of our alumni and friends.  She is responsible for building relationships with the alumni body through the organisation of a comprehensive alumni events and reunions programme, co-ordinating appropriate College-wide events and supporting the Sidney Sussex Society.

Matt joined Sidney in November 2010, having previously built up his development experience at Girton College, Trinity Hall and the Cambridge Union Society.  He is responsible for all aspects of the alumni database, gift administration and Sidney’s online presence as part of our wider communications strategy.

Hannah

Hannah Williamson

Hannah joined the team in March 2011, having gained extensive experience of both fundraising and alumni relations at Murray Edwards College. She is primarily responsible for Sidney’s Annual Fund, the Legacy programme and Stewardship initiatives. Hannah, along with other members of the team, will also be working on the overall fundraising and alumni communications strategy for Sidney.
