Visiting Sidney: maps and travel
Note for those coming into Cambridge by car -- there is now only one (legal) route into Sidney Sussex College and that is via Emmanuel Street, bypassing the rising bollards on St Andrews Street. Some online maps still show one-way traffic in the wrong direction on Emmanuel Street, but these can be safely ignored.
If you come into College via Regent Street, go past the University Arms Hotel, and turn immediately right onto Park Terrace just before the rising bollards. Then take a left at the traffic lights into Parker (Drummer) Street, and bear left past the bus station into Emmanuel Street.
From Emmanuel Street, turn right onto St Andrews Street. When this road forks, bear right onto Hobson (King) Street, where you will find the Sidney Sussex College carpark. You will need a permit to leave your car here, so please contact the Membership and Development Office prior to your visit.
