Contrary to popular misconception, Cambridge is not an expensive university at which to study; in fact, because of its generous provision of accommodation, academic and social facilities, and bursaries, it can work out cheaper than many other universities; in short, you can afford to come here!

The University and all the colleges are committed to the principle that no UK student should be deterred from making an undergraduate application to Cambridge by financial considerations, and that no such student should be unable to take up a place, or have to leave before gaining a degree, because of financial difficulties. At Sidney no student has ever been forced to leave because of financial hardship and we are absolutely determined than none ever will.
