Garden Court
The Garden Court lies behind the Mong Building. As well as the Library and undergraduate accomodation, it also contains the Housekeeper's office and the Conference Manager's office.
Master's Garden
The Master's Garden forms part of the extensive gardens on the main College site. It provides and excellent view of the college buildings and it used for events such as the Freshers' Parents' Garden Party on the first day of Freshers' Week at the start of the Michaelmas Term.
Library
Sidney has two libraries on site: the Richard Powell Library, which is intended for use mainly by undergraduate students, and the Muniment Room. The Richard Powell Library is situated on the first two floors of Garden Court and is designed to supplement the Faculty and University Libraries. It was expanded and refurbished in 1992-3, and covers all subjects taught at Tripos level. The library and adjacent Computer Suite are designed to provide a quiet and comfortable place to work and are open 24 hours a day. Books may be borrowed from the library for private study.
Master's Lodge
The Master, Professor Andrew Wallace-Hadrill (master@sid.cam.ac.uk) is the Head of the College. The Master's Lodge is his residence in the College.
Mong Building
The Mong Building was opened in 1996 by The Queen as part of the College's 400th anniversary celebrations. It is the main lecture theatre in Sidney with full audio-visual facilities and air conditioning. It is also used for dinners, seating up to 90 people, and concerts. South Court
The South Court, one of the main cycle parking areas, is dominated by X, Y and Z staircases, where mainly 3rd year undergraduates live as well as some of the Fellows. Sussex House can be access via a footbridge through this building, which was built in the early 1930s.
