    Extraordinarily peripatetic war. Fought in France, wounded in Mesopotamia, taken to India to recover, ordered back to Mesopotamia where he suffered from malaria and was invalided home. While on board the troopship at Bombay he was summoned back to Deolali, where he caught dysentery and died.
